“Photography is seeing beauty in the everyday, and editing is shaping that beauty into something the rest of the world can feel.”
I’m originally from Bremen, Germany, and I still remember getting my first camera — a blue Fisher-Price camera in 1997 — and taking it everywhere with me. It was the beginning of seeing the world through a frame, long before I knew what that would become.
After high school, I joined the U.S. Navy and worked as a Gas Turbine Electrician. Even though my job was engineering-focused, I was always searching for creative outlets—filming, editing short travel videos, and putting together photo and video compilations for friends and family. That’s where I realized how much I loved shaping stories through images and sound.
Living in Germany, the U.S., and Japan gave me the ability to adapt quickly and connect with people from all cultures and backgrounds — something that deeply informs how I work in collaborative film environments.
Today, while I still enjoy photography, my true passion is film editing. I love finding rhythm, pacing, and emotion in footage and shaping moments into stories that resonate.
